Zambia, without the guesswork.
Waypoint Zambia is a Korean–Zambian liaison team. We translate the meeting, introduce you to the right people, and stay on the ground to get your venture actually running — in mining, agriculture, energy, infrastructure, and beyond.
Now onboarding our first cohort of Korean companies and investors.
Zambia rewards the companies that show up prepared.
Most Korean firms lose their first six months not to bad ideas, but to language gaps, cold contact lists, and permits nobody warned them about.
Contracts, site visits, and regulator meetings move fast in English and local languages. A slow or informal translation costs credibility.
Knowing who to call at the Ministry of Mines, a chief's office, or a farming cooperative isn't public information. It's relationships.
Licensing, land clearance, and import logistics have their own timelines. Missing one step can stall a project for months.
Three services, one team on the ground.
We don't hand you off between vendors. The same team interprets your first call and is still with you at the site a year later.
Real-time interpretation
Korean–English–Bemba/Nyanja interpretation for meetings, site visits, and contract review, plus certified translation of documents and correspondence.
Introductions that go somewhere
Warm introductions to licensed mining offices, agricultural cooperatives, chiefdoms, regulators, and vetted local partners and contractors.
Everything after the handshake
Permit and license support, land and logistics coordination, travel arrangements, and ongoing project management once your team is on-site.
Whatever brings you to Zambia, we've likely already made the calls.
We started deep in mining and agriculture — Zambia's two largest sectors for foreign investment — and built out from there as Korean companies came to us with other questions.

Built by someone who's stood on both sides of the route.
Waypoint Zambia started with a simple observation: Korean companies exploring Zambia and Zambian opportunities looking for Korean partners were both stuck at the same wall — language, unfamiliar bureaucracy, and no one they could fully trust on the other side.
Chunsung Brian Mwale
Zambian-born and Korean-fluent after eight years living and working in South Korea, Chunsung founded Waypoint Zambia to sit at the intersection of both places — helping Korean companies and investors approach Zambia's opportunities in mining, agriculture, energy, and beyond with real local grounding from day one, rather than figuring it out alone.
A waypoint.
A waypoint is a fixed point along a route — the place a ship, plane, or traveler checks position, confirms direction, and continues on with confidence. That's the role we're built to play: not the destination, and not the whole journey, but the reliable point Korean companies pass through on the way to actually operating in Zambia. Each interpreted meeting, each introduction, each cleared permit is one more waypoint on that route.
Three principles.
Precision over speed
A fast wrong answer costs more than a careful right one — especially in translation and regulation.
One team, start to finish
The person who interprets your first call is still with you when the permits clear and the site opens.
Rooted, not rented
Our relationships in Zambia are long-term ones — with regulators, cooperatives, and communities — not contacts bought for a single deal.
